Restaurant Spotlight 🍽

Lowcountry Fish Camp on Central Avenue has become a go-to spot for seafood lovers. The space is casual and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating that fits everything from family dinners to happy hour with friends.
Seafood is the main attraction. Diners can pick from shrimp, flounder, catfish, grouper, and oysters, prepared fried, seared, or blackened. Platters come with hushpuppies and slaw, and there are plenty of Southern sides like collard greens, okra, mac and cheese, and stone-ground grits.
Along with the staples, the menu adds a few twists. Shrimp and grits come in a creamy tasso sauce, the Camp Rolls are a shrimp-and-grits spring roll, and the Fisherman’s Platter piles multiple seafood favorites onto one plate. Non-seafood eaters can still find options like fried duck legs or burgers.

The restaurant has been voted Best Seafood and Best Place to Dine Outdoors several years running! Locals point to the laid-back setting, consistent service, and happy hour deals—fried grouper bites, Buffalo shrimp, and hushpuppies paired with affordable drinks—as reasons they keep coming back.
Whether it’s brunch, dinner, or just an easy weeknight meal, Lowcountry Fish Camp continues to be a reliable pick in Summerville’s dining scene!
