Restaurant Spotlight 🍽

El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant on Bacons Bridge Road remains a steady, familiar spot for Summerville residents who enjoy classic Mexican dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is personable, and the restaurant has the kind of consistency that keeps people coming back.

The menu covers the staples people expect, with plenty of choices for different tastes. Appetizers like queso fundido or simple chips and dips start things off well, and the entrée selection ranges from fajitas and enchiladas to burritos filled generously and finished with cheese sauce. Combinations are a big part of what they offer, giving diners the option to mix a few favorites on one plate without overthinking it.

Some dishes stand out for their balance of flavor and portion size, such as the Burrito Azteca or the variety of quesadillas filled with grilled meats. For anyone wanting something lighter, salads with chicken or steak offer a more straightforward option while still sticking to the restaurant’s familiar flavor profile.

Drinks, especially the margaritas, complement the menu without overshadowing it. They pair well with the food and add to the easygoing feel of the place. Non-alcoholic options round things out for families or lunchtime diners.

With so many Mexican restaurants popping up all over Summerville, El Rodeo remains a dependable part of the local dining scene. It’s the kind of neighborhood restaurant people are glad to have close by.

Featured Pup of the Week: Pecan 🐶

Meet Pecan, the 4-year-old pit mix who has been with Dorchester Paws since August!

From Dorchester Paws:

“Sweet dreams are made of… this sweet girl, Pecan! She came back from a sleepover and was an absolute dream guest. She’s housetrained, snuggly, and may just out-snore you 😴💤 This 4-year-old gal walks beautifully on leash, gets along with other dogs, and loves to people-watch from her bed when she’s back at the shelter.

Sleepovers like these help dogs like Pecan decompress, get extra love, and show us how wonderful they are in a home setting. Ready to host your own furry guest? Come meet Pecan and sign up for a doggy sleepover. It might just be the best night’s rest you’ve had in a while. 🐾
