Restaurant Spotlight

Odd Duck Market is a new café and market in Summerville serving breakfast, lunch, and coffee in a relaxed setting. It’s located inside a restored historic home, which gives it a comfortable, lived-in feel.

The menu is centered around simple breakfast and lunch items. In the morning, they serve classics like bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel along with options like prosciutto breakfast sandwiches, smoked salmon with goat cheese and capers, and a few lighter toast-based dishes. The focus is on familiar combinations with slightly better ingredients and bread than you’d expect from a typical café.

For lunch, the menu shifts to sandwiches and wraps. Everything is straightforward, with clean ingredients and simple pairings rather than anything overly complicated. It’s the kind of place where you can order quickly without having to think too much about it.

Coffee is a big part of what they do. They serve standard espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, along with iced coffee and matcha. In addition to coffee, they also offer beer, wine, and light cocktails like mimosas, so it works just as well for an afternoon stop as it does in the morning.

There’s also a small market section inside with local goods and packaged items, which adds to the overall feel of the space.

Overall, Odd Duck Market is a simple, reliable spot for breakfast, lunch, or coffee. The menu is easy to navigate, the food is well-executed, and the space makes it a comfortable place to stop in for a quick meal or stay a little longer.

Featured Pup of the Week: Stetson 🐶

Meet Stetson, the 4-year-old shepherd mix who is looking for his forever home!

From Dorchester Paws:

“Shepherd lovers, this one’s for you 🤎 Stetson is 4 years old, 87 lbs, and everything you love about the breed: loyal, intelligent, and deeply devoted to his people.

He can be a little shy when first meeting you, but give him time and you’ll have a best friend for life. He does well with other dogs and would thrive in an adult-only home where he can settle in and feel safe.”
