Where to Invest $100,000 Right Now, According to Experts
Investors face a dilemma. When the S&P 500 finished its worst quarter since 2022 last month, diversifiers like bonds and bitcoin fell too.
Even with the turnaround in mid-April, analysts at Goldman Sachs and Vanguard have projected low-single-digit annualized returns from 2024-2034.
Bloomberg asked where experts would personally invest $100,000 for their March monthly edition.
One answer that surfaced for a second time? Art.
It's what billionaires like Bezos and the Rockefellers have privately used to diversify for decades.
Why?
Appreciation. The ArtPrice100 Index outpaced the S&P 500 overall from 2000 to 2025
Low-correlation. The postwar contemporary segment has moved independently of traditional investments like stocks since ‘95.*
Resilience. A scarce, physical, and global asset class with decades of demonstrated demand.
Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, without needing millions.
Shares in new offerings can sell quickly but...
*According to Masterworks data. Investing involves risk. Past performance is not indicative of future returns. See important Reg A disclosures at masterworks.com/cd.

Restaurant Spotlight

Pagoda has been serving Chinese food in Summerville since 1981, and if you ask longtime locals what they’re known for, most people will give you the same answer immediately: the wings.
They’re whole chicken wings with a super crispy skin and a seasoning blend that’s completely different from standard buffalo wings or breaded takeout wings. Salty, slightly sweet, heavily seasoned, and somehow still crunchy after sitting in a takeout box for 20 minutes.
The fried rice is also better than what you get at most takeout spots, it has actual texture to it instead of being oily and clumped together, and the portions are huge. Same goes for the lo mein, which has that slightly charred wok flavor that usually only shows up when a kitchen is cooking at really high heat.

The sesame chicken is one of their best sellers for a reason too. Crispy pieces of chicken covered in a thick sweet sauce that doesn’t get watery halfway through the meal. If you like spicy food, the General Tso’s and orange chicken both bring more heat than you’d expect.
The portions are still big enough that most combo plates easily turn into two meals. You get the entrée, fried rice, and usually an egg roll without spending a ridiculous amount of money. Classic sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, shrimp with garlic sauce, wonton soup, egg drop soup, moo shu pork, pepper steak, bourbon chicken, Singapore mei fun. Pretty much every standard Chinese takeout order is covered.

The restaurant itself still feels old-school too, no trendy branding, no attempt to turn it into an upscale fusion place. Just a longtime local restaurant making the same dishes people have been ordering for decades.
Featured Pup of the Week: Sir Rufus 🐶
Say hello to Sir Rufus, the almost-4-year-old pitbull mix who has been at Dorchester Paws since April!

From Dorchester Paws:
“At 3 years old, Sir Rufus is convinced he’s actually a lap dog — and honestly, we’re not going to argue with him. This sweet boy is full of cuddles, kisses, and enough love to make everyone he meets instantly fall for him. 💛💙
When Sir Rufus arrived at the shelter 2 months ago, he was recovering from a few scrapes and bruises. Thankfully, he’s healed beautifully and is ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own. After everything he's been through, Sir Rufus would do best as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves.
If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who gives the BEST kisses, Sir Rufus is waiting to meet you. 🐶✨”
