Where to Invest $100,000 Right Now, According to Experts

Investors face a dilemma. When the S&P 500 finished its worst quarter since 2022 last month, diversifiers like bonds and bitcoin fell too.

Even with the turnaround in mid-April, analysts at Goldman Sachs and Vanguard have projected low-single-digit annualized returns from 2024-2034.

Bloomberg asked where experts would personally invest $100,000 for their March monthly edition.

One answer that surfaced for a second time? Art.

It's what billionaires like Bezos and the Rockefellers have privately used to diversify for decades.

Why?

  1. Appreciation. The ArtPrice100 Index outpaced the S&P 500 overall from 2000 to 2025

  2. Low-correlation. The postwar contemporary segment has moved independently of traditional investments like stocks since ‘95.*

  3. Resilience. A scarce, physical, and global asset class with decades of demonstrated demand.

Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, without needing millions.

Shares in new offerings can sell quickly but...

Restaurant Spotlight

La Mixteca Mexican Kitchen in Goose Creek is becoming a popular spot for people seeking authentic Mexican food.

It’s tucked into a small shopping center on South Alliance Drive in Goose Creek, and the menu is pretty straightforward: tacos, tortas, sopes, quesadillas, carne asada, enchiladas, and a few bigger plates if you come hungry.

The tacos are probably the easiest place to start. You can keep it simple with asada, pastor, or chicken, or go a little more traditional with lengua or cabeza. They come more in the street taco style, with the meat doing most of the work instead of getting buried under a pile of toppings.

The al pastor is a good order if you like a little sweetness and spice. The asada is another safe bet, especially if you’re just stopping in for a quick lunch or grabbing a few tacos to go.

But La Mixteca is not just a taco place. The sopes are worth trying too. They’re thicker than a taco, with a crisp corn base, meat, toppings, and enough substance to feel like more of a meal. If you usually order tacos every time you go out for Mexican food, this is a good place to switch it up.

The tortas are another good choice. They’re big Mexican sandwiches with options like asada, pastor, chicken, lengua, and cabeza. It’s the kind of thing that works well if you want something filling but don’t want a full plate with rice and beans.

For a bigger dinner, the carne asada, pechuga a la plancha, enchiladas, or molcajete are more of the sit-down meal options. The molcajete especially is one of those dishes you order when you’re really hungry or sharing with someone else.

If you’re in Goose Creek and want a quick taco stop, La Mixteca is an easy recommendation. But it’s also worth going beyond the tacos. Try a sope, grab a torta, or sit down for one of the bigger plates.

Featured Pup of the Week: Boba 🐶

Meet Boba, the 1.5 year-old terrier mix who is currently being fostered through Dorchester Paws!

From Dorchester Paws:

“Boba has been enjoying the good life in foster care since April, and his foster family has learned so much about what an amazing companion he is!

Boba is 1.5 years old and this handsome boy is crate trained, house trained, and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. In fact, he's currently sharing his foster home with a 6 year old cat and doing great! Boba also loves kids and quickly wins over everyone he meets with his happy personality and friendly nature.

Whether he's playing with his foster brother, going for a walk, cruising in the car, or even taking a bath, Boba is always up for the adventure. When the fun is over, he's just as happy to relax right by your side and soak up the company. His foster family describes him as a very chill dog who loves being part of the action without needing to be the center of attention.

Boba is ready to trade his foster home for a forever home. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who also enjoys quiet cuddle time, Boba might just be your perfect match!!”
