Restaurant Spotlight
Corner House in Summers Corner has quickly become known for house-smoked barbecue, burgers, and Southern staples!
The interior has a friendly, workday-casual vibe, with live music every other Saturday and occasional events like trivia and themed brunches.
Corner House’s menu delivers on Southern-driven comfort with a few thoughtful spins: Low Country she-crab soup, smoked wings tossed in Alabama white BBQ sauce, the Southern Belle Burger topped with pimiento cheese and fried green tomato, and brisket frites with chimichurri and seasoned fries.

Sides like mac & cheese, collards, BBQ-fried rice, coleslaw, and hushpuppies round out the plate simply but effectively. Don’t skip the “Crustably Uncrustable”—a deep-fried peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich drizzled with bananas-foster sauce.
There’s a full bar offering familiar cocktails—Martinis, Negronis, Aperol Spritzes—as well as craft-oriented brunch drinks like Saturday Morning Cartoons and Summer’s Corner Spritz. Brunch runs Sundays from 10AM to 5PM, so it’s a solid weekend pick-me-up.
The smoked wings and brisket draw genuine applause, and the service routinely earns praise for being warm and personable. Whether you’re cheering on a Friday at the bar, grabbing Sunday brunch with friends, or enjoying a weekday lunch, it delivers straightforward fare without theatrical trappings.

Corner House has become a welcome gathering place in Summers Corner, offering well-executed Southern classics, a friendly team, and a range of events that bring people together. It won’t bewilder your palate—but with honest cooking and an approachable bar program, it doesn’t need to.
Featured Pup of the Week: Lady Bug 🐶
Meet Lady Bug, Dorchester Paws’ current longest-term resident!

From Dorchester Paws:
“Our longest-term resident, Lady Bug, just got back from a much-deserved vacation—and she thrived in the home life!
From being wrapped in cozy piles of blankets with her little arms in the air, to spending her days peacefully window-watching, Lady Bug soaked up every second of her shelter break. She proved what we already suspected—she's a well-behaved, affectionate cuddle bug who just needed a comfy couch and a little love.
At only 30 lbs, Lady Bug is petite, polite, and fast as lightning! She gets along well with other dogs and truly blossomed outside of the shelter.
We’re so grateful she got a taste of home—and now, we can’t wait to see where this lucky lady lands. 💛”
