• Birds and Brew 🦜 | Wild Birds Unlimited: join Wild Birds Unlimited’s nature duo, Kelli and Danny, as they dive into the world of birding. They invite you to join them every third Wednesday of the month from 10:30-11:30AM for coffee, snacks, and bird talk.

• Power Hour Nexton 🏗️ | Lowcountry Conference Center: designed as a vital conduit between decision-makers and the public, these sessions are your primary source for staying informed about the latest happenings in our region. Join the Summerville Chamber of Commerce to gain insights from key figures and industry experts. This event runs from 7:30-9AM and is free to attend.

• Prediction Run 🏃‍♂️ | Bolts & Brews Beer Garden: join Fleet Feet Charleston and Asics for a fun Prediction Run! The goal is simple: run the designated course and finish as close as possible to your predicted time — without using a watch, phone, or GPS device. This 3-mile run starts at 6:30PM and there will be prizes for the most accurate predictions!

• Trivia 🧠 | Bolts & Brews Beer Garden: put your knowledge to the test at Trivia Night at Bolts & Brews! Gather your team, grab a drink, and compete for bragging rights and prizes in a fun, friendly atmosphere. Trivia starts at 6PM.

• Live Music: Brandon Lamar Simmons 🎸 | Top Dawg Tavern: Brandon is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and drummer who plays some of your favorite tunes in a wide variety including Rock, R&B, Motown, Soul and Pop! He will be playing on the patio from 7-10PM.

Thursday, June 18th

• Third Thursday 🗓️ | Downtown Summerville: on the third Thursday of each month, from 5:30-8:30PM. Historic Downtown Summerville transforms into a special marketplace featuring local entertainment, craft vendors and artisans, to complement the extended hours of our eclectic shops, boutiques and restaurants.

• Vinyl Record Painting 📀 | Luxe Bar & Bistro: in this creative and eco-friendly workshop, participants will repurpose vinyl records and their casings into one-of-a-kind art pieces. Using paints, brushes, and optional stencils, each attendee will design their own personalized record cover or vinyl surface to take home. This event starts at 7PM and tickets are $45.

• Live Music: Chris Sullivan 🎸 | Wine & Tapas Bar: Chris is a local singer-songwriter and rock artist known for his Americana/American Rock 'n' Roll style. He will be playing at Wine & Tapas during Third Thursday from 6-9PM.

Friday, June 19th

• Throw With Dad 🪓 | Throw Lumber Jills: join Lumber Jill’s Axe Throwing Lounge for Throw With Dad Weekend, where dads throw for just $10 all weekend long! This deal starts at 11AM and ends Sunday at 7PM.

• Rhythm & Roots Cultural Concert 🎤 | Brown Family Park at Nexton: celebrate Juneteenth with Summerville Parks and Rec at their first ever Rhythm and Roots Cultural Concert! This is a celebration of local African American history and culture with food trucks, a sweetgrass basket vendor, local historians and a presentation from a Gullah storyteller. All of this preceding a free community concert featuring the hit reggae band Mystic Vibrations. This event will run from 6-8PM.

• World Cup Watch Party: USA vs Australia ⚽️ | Charleston Sports Pub: CSP’s World Cup Watch Party will feature a pop-a-shot soccer game, cold beers, and a raffle where one lucky winner will receive 2 tickets to the World Cup match in Atlanta on Friday, 6/27! The game kicks off at 3PM.

• Chris Kennedy | Luxe Bar & Bistro: Chris is a vocal prodigy with a deep passion for singing that has shaped his music throughout his career. He will be playing at Luxe from 7-10PM.

• Jon Hanks | Wine & Tapas Bar: Jon is a Country Singer, Songwriter & Guitar Picker from South Carolina. He will be playing from 7-10PM.

• Joe Wheaton | Top Dawg Tavern: Joe plays a little bit of everything with a focus on acoustic rock, Americana folk and some fun alternative covers! He will be playing on the patio from 8-11PM.

• Dylan Swinson | Montreux Bar and Grill: Dylan’s solo set consists of pop, rock, and folk songs ranging from the 1960s to present day. He will be playing on the front stage starting at 2PM.

• Michael Peifer | Montreux Bar and Grill: Michael has been a Professional Vocalist, Acoustic Guitarist, Band Leader and DJ for more than 3 decades. He will be playing on the patio starting at 6PM.

• Live Music: Eddie Bush | Montreux Bar and Grill: Eddie is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has been performing for 40+ years throughout the US. He will be playing with his band EBG on the main stage starting at 10PM.

Saturday, June 20th

• Summer Purr-adise Adoption Event 🐱 | Hollywood Feed: come see Forgotten Paws of the South at Hollywood Feed to meet a whole bunch of their freshly vetted and oh so cute cats and kittens. They have over 20 cats that are up for adoption and they will be there from 10AM-2PM.

• Southern Hatchets Cane Bay Marketplace 🪓 | 1377 State Road: a brand new community market is rolling into Cane Bay Market Place, and it will feature artisans & makers, boutiques & handmade goods, bakers & food vendors, face painters & family fun vendors, and service-based businesses promoting their brand! This market will run from 10AM-1PM.

• Peacekeepers Classic Car, Truck, and Bike Show 🚘 | The Village at Summerville: The Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club presents the 1st Annual Classic Car Bike & Truck Show! This event will run from 10AM-2PM and proceeds in part will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, The Village at Summerville Assisted Living Community, and The Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

• Sweet Escape Adult Prom 💃 | The Summer Breeze: this Candyland-inspired adult prom is your chance to dress up, let loose, and relive the magic—your way. Go full candy-themed or add your own creative twist, but keep it dressy. This event starts at 8PM, and a Prom King & Queen will be crowned!

• Mac Calhoun | Wine & Tapas Bar: Mac Calhoun is a local musician who has spent the last few years playing live music full time in Key West. He will be playing from 7-10PM.

• Elephants Dancing | Tiki Taco Main Street: Elephants Dancing hits that sweet spot between catchy and angsty, with the influences of Reggae, Punk, and Ska. They will be playing at Tiki Taco on Main Street from 9PM-12AM and there is a $5 cover.

• Tim Falvey | Top Dawg Tavern: hailing from NYC, Tim plays an eclectic mix of Americana and Rock N Roll! He will be playing on the patio from 8-11PM.

• Susan Curry | Montreux Bar and Grill: Susan’s music revolves mainly around bluegrass and Americana tunes. She will be playing on the front stage starting at 2PM.

• Joal Rush | Montreux Bar and Grill: Joal uniquely blends influences of Folk/Pop/Rock & Soul, to create a style all his own. He will be playing on the patio starting at 6PM.

• OldSoul | Montreux Bar and Grill: Summerville’s epic Rock & Roll band, OldSoul, returns to their hometown for an exciting night at Montreux! They will be playing on the main stage starting at 10PM.

• 3rd Annual Father’s Day Car Show 🚘 | Cane Bay Family YMCA: celebrate Father’s Day with the timeless automotive beauty of cars, trucks, and motorcycles in a vibrant community gathering. This car show runs from 3PM-8PM, and features free admission for guests, People’s Choice Awards, live DJ entertainment, and food trucks on site.

Restaurant Spotlight

Steel City Pizza is on North Main Street, and the menu goes well beyond just pizza. Pizza is still the main draw, but they also have wings, pastas, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and a few good starters if you’re eating with a group.

The pizzas are built on their house-made dough, with options ranging from a simple cheese slice to loaded specialty pies. The Steel City Special is the classic “everything” style pizza, with pepperoni, mushrooms, red onion, green pepper, black olives, and Italian sausage. If you want something heavier, the Mega Meaty comes with pepperoni, ham, meatballs, and Italian sausage.

They also have a few pizzas that are more interesting than the usual lineup. The Five Cheese Caprese has olive oil, garlic, several cheeses, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic. The Jalapeño Pepperoni adds ricotta, fresh jalapeño, Mike’s Hot Honey, and basil, which gives it a nice mix of spicy and sweet.

One thing that stands out is how many non-pizza options they have. The Steelwiches are a big part of the menu. They’re basically sandwiches baked in pizza dough, then filled with meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, and dressing. The South Side Steelwich is the big one, with pepperoni, ham, salami, capicola, mozzarella, provolone, and homemade Italian dressing.

For appetizers, the Parmesan Dippers are probably the easiest table order. They’re fried pieces of fresh dough covered in parmesan and served with marinara and garlic butter. They also have meatball bake, buffalo chicken dip, spinach dip, mozzarella sticks, fries, and wings.

The lunch specials are worth knowing about too. Monday through Friday from 11AM- 3PM, they offer several combos, including big slices with salad and a drink, soup and salad, pasta, wings, Steelwiches, and a 12-inch cheese pizza. It makes it a solid lunch spot if you want something quick but more filling than fast food.

If you need an easy dinner that gives everyone options, Steel City Pizza is worth keeping in the rotation.
