• Moms in Motion Morning Workout 🏋️‍♀️ | 845 Carns Crossing: join Moms In Motion SC for a Live Wednesday Morning workout (weather permitting)! Feel free to bring your kids to join in all the fun and cheer on Mom. This event runs from 8:30-9:30AM and it is recommended that you bring a yoga mat or towel.

• Rolling Bike Night 🏍 | Tail Race Tavern (Moncks Corner): chrome, cocktails, and a whole lotta good times! There will be music from Barefoot Brian from 6-9PM.

• Live Music: David Grunstra 🎸 | Top Dawg Tavern: David Grunstra is a very popular local musician, singer/songwriter and guitarist who plays Blues, Alt Country, Classic Rock and more! He will be playing on the patio from 7-10PM.

Thursday, July 31st

• Summerville Soiree 💃 | Downtown Summerville: stroll, sip, and shop your way through your favorite local boutiques — all offering something special just for the night. This event runs from 4-8PM.

• Survey Says Game Night 🍻 | Tiki Taco: MindgameZ are hosting their own spin on Family Feud, called Survey Says. Winners will receive $10, $20, or $30 in-house cash! The games begin at 7:15PM.

• “Her Hair” Paint & Sip 🎨 | Sportsbook Cheesesteaks and Wings: this paint & sip runs from 6:30-9:30PM and costs $40, which includes all necessary supplies and instruction.

• Live Music: Rotie 🎸 | LG’s By The Creek (Hanahan): Rotie will be playing all of your requests from 6-9PM!

Friday, August 1st

• Adoption Event 🐶 | The Pickle Bar: come out and play a game of pickle ball while meeting adoptable pups of Dorchester Paws from 6:30-9:30PM!

• Grand Opening 🎉 | Epoxy Depot: join epoxy depot for their grand opening from 10AM-2PM, where they will have complimentary food, giveaways, a special guest, and more!

• One Last Splash: Back to Boating School 🚤 | Doty Park: join Summerville Parks & Rec for an evening of nautical nonsense at this special Movie Night in the Park Event! There will be fun back-to-school games and activities where they’ll be giving away small back to school supplies starting at 6:00PM. Then, at sunset, pull up a lawn chair or a blanket, sit back, and enjoy a special screening of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie!

• Ice Cream Social 🍦 | Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream: from 3:30-5PM, come meet your local police officers and firefighters, check out a patrol car and fire truck, and enjoy some delicious ice cream at Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream! SPD’s SRO Unit will also be collecting donations to help provide school supplies for students in need.

• Blood Drive 🩸 | Dorchester Paws (136 Four Paws Lane): Dorchester Paws is partnering with The Blood Connection to sponsor a blood drive from 2-5PM. Each donor will receive $30 in donor rewards + $10 Give back to the organization!

• Drew Marler | Bolts and Brews Beer Garden: Drew Marler has been performing professionally as a musician for over 30 years, and as a solo performer for over 20 years. He will be playing from 4:30-7:30PM.

Restaurant Spotlight

Sunrise Bistro on Miles Jamison Road is a casual breakfast and lunch spot that’s earned a solid place in Summerville’s dining landscape. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed, with counter service, plenty of natural light, and a menu that covers both classic comfort food and a few surprises.

Breakfast is served all day, and the variety is impressive. You’ll find everything from shrimp and grits to open-faced omelets, along with big biscuit sandwiches, grits bowls, and stuffed French toast. If you're hungry, the Texas Stacker—eggs, bacon, cheese, grits, and toast all piled together—is one of the heavier hitters. Lunch options include wraps, burgers, and salads, making it easy to stop in whether you’re looking for a full meal or something lighter.

One nice thing about Sunrise Bistro is how well it works for different kinds of diners. It’s easy to bring kids here, meet a friend for coffee and eggs, or grab takeout on a weekend morning! The portions are generous, and the pricing is fair, especially considering the variety and the quality of the food.

They’re open Tuesday-Saturday from 7AM-2PM, and Sunday from 9AM-2PM. If you haven’t been yet, it’s the kind of place that makes a dependable go-to!

“Meet Tay Tay and Pay Pay — our two petite hound ladies who have somehow not been scooped up yet, and we honestly can’t believe it!

Tay Tay is 8 years old, white with the softest yellow ears, and has the sweetest, daintiest demeanor. Pay Pay, her adorable partner-in-cuteness, is 6 years old with a freckled face that could melt any heart. She’s playful, loving, and just as compact — both girls weigh around 18 lbs fully grown.

While they don’t need to be adopted together, we wouldn’t blame you for falling for them both. Two mini hounds, twice the charm. ❤”
