Restaurant Spotlight

If you’ve been craving an authentic NYC-style slice with Southern hospitality, your wish has arrived. Woodhaven Pizza opened yesterday in Summerville, bringing their signature 72-hour fermented dough—touted for its crispy chew and deep, tangy flavor—from a family recipe rooted in Barcelona’s Pizzeria in New Jersey, established 1933.

Why It’s Not Just Another Pizza Place:

  • Generational taste: Over 90 years of family pizza-making show in every bite, using premium LaValle San Marzano tomatoes and high-quality mozzarella.

  • NY‑inspired ambiance: Subway‑themed interiors capture that Queens-and-Brooklyn vibe, with big-screen TV action during sports games for those weekend matchups.

  • More than just pizza: They also serve wood-fired wings, Italian heroes, salads, and pastas, with party-grade catering and customizable options for local events.

Beyond The Pie:

  • Rewards that matter: Join the loyalty program to earn 1 point per $2 spent—redeemable for free food, birthday treats, exclusive offers, and member-only deals.

  • Game day ready: Planning a watch party? Their massive TV wall pairs perfectly with pizza and wings for a truly social sports night.

  • Built for convenience: Catering menus, party packages, gift cards, even branded merch—Woodhaven’s got the tools to make local life tastier.

Featured Pup of the Week: Tinker 🐶

Meet Tinker, the 5 year old hound mix who’s a current resident at Dorchester Paws!

From Dorchester Paws:

“Meet Tinker, our 5-year-old hound girl who’s been patiently waiting for a home… for way too long. Basically, she’s the reigning queen of campus — but she’d much rather be queen of your couch. 👑

Tinker is sweet as can be, does great with other dogs, and would thrive in a home with kiddos who understand that even queens need a little personal space now and then. She’s been overlooked — give this gentle, goofy girl the home she’s been dreaming of. 💛
