Restaurant Spotlight 🍽
If you’ve been craving a good bowl of ramen in Summerville, you’re in luck. Mr. Pan Ramen House, located over on North Main Street, has quietly been making a name for itself with hearty ramen, tasty small plates, and a chill, welcoming vibe.
The menu is straightforward but solid. You’ve got your classic ramen bowls—tonkotsu, spicy miso, veggie, beef, and a rich garlic option that’s gotten a lot of love online. You can add extra toppings if you like your ramen loaded up, and they also offer rice bowls, bento boxes, and milk teas.
What sets Mr. Pan apart, though, are the appetizers. The pork buns, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), and shrimp shumai are all worth trying. It’s the kind of place where you end up ordering “just one more thing” because everything comes out fresh and flavorful.
Since they’re still relatively new, the place is working through some growing pains. A few folks have mentioned slower service during busy times, and portions can be a little lighter than expected depending on what you order. But most reviews agree: the food is legit, and the staff is friendly and trying hard to make it a good experience.
They’re open every day, and weekends can get a little busier, so try to go early if you want to avoid the wait. All in all, Mr. Pan is a great addition to Summerville’s food scene!
Featured Pup of the Week: Maddie 🐶
Meet Maddie, the 9-year-old mixed breed who is currently being fostered through Dorchester Paws!
From Dorchester Paws:
“Meet Maddie — our 9-year-old sweetheart who’s the total package.
Maddie is great with everyone — dogs, cats, and all people. She’s currently in a foster home where she’s been described as “incredibly easy.” She’s house-trained, mellow, and just wants a cozy place to nap and a human to love.
Senior dogs like Maddie still have so much love to give — and they’re often the easiest additions to a home. Come meet her and see why her foster family is obsessed! 🐾”
