Restaurant Spotlight

Choosing an Asian restaurant can get complicated when one person wants sushi, another wants hibachi, and someone else has their heart set on General Tso’s chicken.
Wild Ginger Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar solves that problem with a menu that covers a little bit of everything. Located on Bacons Bridge Road in Summerville, the restaurant serves sushi, hibachi, noodles, fried rice, and a long list of Chinese- and Thai-inspired entrées.
Sushi fans have plenty to work through. Along with familiar choices like California, spicy tuna, rainbow, and shrimp tempura rolls, Wild Ginger offers several larger specialty rolls. The Wild Ginger Sashimi Roll combines spicy tuna, avocado, salmon, yellowtail, and wasabi yuzu sauce. Other popular options include the fried Volcano Roll, the lobster-topped American Dream Roll, and the GMC Roll with crab crunch and spicy crab.

The kitchen side of the menu is just as large. You’ll find pad Thai, lo mein, pineapple fried rice, Mongolian beef, walnut shrimp, orange chicken, and several spicy mango dishes. The restaurant’s namesake Wild Ginger Beef is made with fresh ginger, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and zucchini.
There’s also a full hibachi menu with chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, and lobster tail. Combination plates are available for anyone who has trouble picking just one. Each comes with vegetables, fried rice, and a choice of soup or salad.

Wild Ginger has built a loyal following in Summerville, especially among customers looking for generous portions and food that travels well.
Whether your table wants sushi, noodles, hibachi, or a little of everything, Wild Ginger makes it easy to keep everyone happy.
Featured Pup of the Week: Mac 🐶
Meet Mac, the 3-year-old lab mix who’s been with Dorchester Paws for almost a year now!

From Dorchester Paws:
“Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves. Mac just takes a little longer to share hers💛
At 3 years old, Mac has been waiting for her happily ever after for far too long. She's been in the care of Dorchester Paws since August 2025 and has been thriving in a foster home since November, where she's been able to showcase just how wonderful she is.
Mac is house-trained, gets along well with other dogs, and has successfully lived with a canine companion in her foster home! While Mac can be a little shy and nervous when meeting people, don't let that fool you. With a little patience and kindness, she blossoms into a sweet, loyal companion. Because she's still gaining confidence, Mac would likely do best in a home with older children who can respect the time she needs to settle in.
She's spent months waiting for someone to see the incredible dog she is, and we know her person is out there somewhere!”
