Restaurant Spotlight

Nestled in the heart of downtown Summerville at 119 W Doty Ave, Pad Thai 1 has become a local favorite for authentic Thai cuisine. This cozy restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional flavors and warm hospitality that keeps patrons coming back for more.
The menu at Pad Thai 1 boasts an impressive array of Thai classics. Their namesake dish, Pad Thai, is a must-try, featuring rice noodles stir-fried to perfection with eggs, bean sprouts, scallions, and peanuts in their signature sauce.
For those seeking a bit of heat, the Drunken Thai Spaghetti offers a spicy kick with its sweet and spicy basil sauce. Adventurous diners should sample the Curry Poppers, a unique appetizer of homemade Thai puff pastry stuffed with ground chicken, potato, onion, and yellow curry powder. The Pineapple Fried Rice is another crowd-pleaser, combining the sweetness of pineapple with savory spices and your choice of protein.
Despite its small size, Pad Thai 1 delivers big on flavor. As one satisfied customer put it, "Tiny space, BIG flavor. It feels like there is a grandmother cooking in back, making every dish with love and flavor!"
We actually got to try Pad Thai 1 last week, check out our Instagram video below to see what we thought ⬇️
Featured Pup of the Week: Raymond 🐶
This week, we stopped by Dorchester Paws in Summerville to take Raymond out on a doggie date!
Raymond is Dorchester Paws’ longest term resident, and unfortunately had to have one of his legs amputated last year - but he hasn’t let that slow him down!
We took Raymond for a walk through Azalea Park, and then downtown Summerville for a pup cup, where he enjoyed lots of pets from all of his new friends! He was remarkably calm and well behaved, and great with all the children that came up to pet him.
Check out the video below of our doggie date with Raymond ⬇️
“Doggie dates” at Dorchester Paws are great for getting the dogs out of the shelter for awhile and introducing them to potential adopters. Visit dorchesterpaws.org to learn more and see all of the dogs & cats that are in need of a home ❤️
