Restaurant Spotlight

If you’re looking for a laid-back neighborhood spot with good food, cold drinks, and a come-as-you-are atmosphere, Dog and Duck - Summerville has been a local go-to for years. Open since 2003 and under current ownership since 2016, this Old Trolley Road favorite blends the feel of a casual pub with the accessibility of a family restaurant — including a dog-friendly outdoor patio.
Dog & Duck delivers the kind of menu that makes everyone happy. Think burgers, wings, sandwiches, and classic pub favorites, plus a full bar with plenty of beer options. It’s the sort of spot where you can grab lunch with coworkers, bring the family for dinner, or meet friends to catch a game without feeling out of place.

Inside, the vibe is casual and comfortable, with TVs for sports and a welcoming neighborhood energy that keeps regulars coming back.
What really makes Dog & Duck stand out, though, is consistency. It’s been serving the community for more than two decades, and that kind of staying power doesn’t happen by accident. Reliable food, reasonable prices, and a relaxed atmosphere are often exactly what people want — and Dog & Duck delivers on all three.
If it’s been a while since your last visit, it might be time to stop back in. Chances are you’ll remember why so many locals consider it one of their regular spots.
