Restaurant Spotlight

If you’re looking for a meal that centers on burgers done right, Wayback Burgers delivers a lineup worth exploring. This is a chain restaurant with a presence in Summerville, but its menu goes beyond the ordinary fast-food fare by offering freshly made options that let you mix classic comfort with personal taste.
At the heart of the menu are Wayback’s signature burgers, all made to order with fresh ingredients. You’ll find timeless choices like the Classic Burger, stacked with American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mustard, and ketchup on fresh beef patties. If you like your burger with a little extra edge, there’s the Bourbon Bacon with cheddar, bacon, and bourbon mustard, or the Double Bacon, with double the bacon and cheese. For those who really love cheese, the Cheeeesy Burger maximizes melty American cheese between two juicy beef patties and an inverted buttered bun.

Beyond burgers, the menu includes hearty hand-breaded chicken sandwiches—both grilled and crispy options—and classic chicken tenders, giving you choices whether you’re craving beef or chicken. There are also opportunities to craft your own burger if you want to tailor toppings and sauces to your exact preferences.
Sides at Wayback go past plain fries; you can order tater tots or crispy onion rings, and they also offer creative twists on these classics, like seasoned or loaded options. Many fans pair their burgers with hand-dipped milkshakes, made fresh with premium ice cream and available in a variety of flavors to cap your meal.

Whether you keep it simple with a Classic or go bold with specialty burgers and custom builds, the focus is on freshness and flavor that invite repeat visits.
Featured Pup of the Week: Gharial 🐶
Meet Gharial, the 1-year-old mama dog who is currently being fostered through Dorchester Paws!

From Dorchester Paws:
“After being an incredible mama and watching all of her puppies head off to their forever homes, it’s finally Gharial’s turn to shine. Now 1 year old, this sweet girl (also known as Gigi or just G) is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly.
She can be a little timid at first, but once she warms up, you’ll be greeted with a happy tail wag and a very polite request for belly rubs. Gharial enjoys meeting other dogs and is very curious about cats (even if the feeling isn’t always mutual). She’s potty trained, crate trained, and would be an especially great match for a first-time dog parent looking for an easygoing, loving companion.
Gharial is so deserving of a fresh start. 💫”
